Global heavy vehicle manufacturers call for regulatory ‘harmonisation’

Some of the world’s leading manufacturers of heavy-duty commercial trucks and engines have called for improved progress in regulatory harmonistion and closer cooperation among European, North American, and Japanese regulators. The companies argue that such progress is need in order to improve energy efficiency and reduce fuel consumption associated with on-road freight transport.
