Sainsbury’s tackles supply chain sustainability with £1bn plan

UK supermarket chain Sainsbury’s has announced plans to invest £1bn in a sustainability plan to reduce waste and carbon footprint in its own stores and in its supply chain in what it describes as one of the most ambitious programmes announced in the industry.
