McDonald’s to work with suppliers to improve conditions for pigs

McDonald’s, the fast-food giant, has announced that it will work with pork suppliers to remove the use of gestation crates, which are used for female sows while they raise their piglets after concerns were voiced about the welfare of the pigs in these metal containers.
