Supply chains under scrutiny after record product recalls in UK

A record 291 products had to be recalled in the UK last year – a 27% increase on 2010. Supply chain issues were highlighted by headline recall cases in 2011, including batches of a Loyd Grossman korma sauce, Beko freezers from Turkey and Pfizer’s hormone replacement drugs.
